eyefull photography- Happy Birthday!

Why did I become a photographer? Well one of FOUR reasons...this reason being #2.

On May 27, 2011, I gave birth to my second daughter. I actually went into labor the night before and delivered Grace early on the 27th.  I am in awe of how quickly time has flown by and how much she has changed since she was born. 






Some of Grace's best attributes are her sense of humor, she is quite talkative, she is fiercely loyal, and she has a great big heart full of love.  She is an amazing girl and I am thankful for her (always).

Meet Colt.
That's right. Colt.
Such a yummy One year old. Today actually. One.
And today, I get to celebrate his first birthday CAKE SMASH! with him. It was quite providential that I got to do this. His family was a referral from a friend of mine (Terri Decanter) who could not photograph his birthday CAKE SMASH! She was sad not to be able to do it, but knew that she had placed him into capable hands.


We met at a park for the birthday CAKE SMASH. Colt just woke up so he wasn't quite sure what was actually going on!


Yes, we live in Arizona yet he is wearing a Washington jersey.  So, the first question one might as is, "Are you from Washington?" Nope! Not this family.  Born and bred here in Arizona.  Its just Washington has been Dad's team since he was a young boy and he is passing the love of the team onto his son.



Thaat's right Colt, I am a little bit weird.

Ok, I love this black and white.  His face just screams "Humilation."  But he is so stinkin cute in his Redskins diaper cover and matching hat.  But as you can see, he soon perked up.



Yep, tha'ts right...even the cake was Redskins colors.  Go Skins!

Thank you to Colt's parents for taking a chance on me.  They had never met be before, so I am grateful that they trustfully took the referral from their photographer, my friend, Terri and allowed me to photograph Colt.

and now, one year.

Mom wanted to do some studio style pictures, so I said, "Yep, okay!" and I love how they turned out.









Had to throw a few of big brother in.

Its HIS birthday too.

Yep, big brother and little sister share the same birthday!

So this is my daughter Sister #1. #1 recently turned 11 and I wanted to do a photo shoot with her. Literally, I was like, "Okay #1, let's go take some photos out by the train tracks and why don't we bring out that cake too?" It was unscripted. Unrehearsed. Unplanned. As you can see, even her hair wasn't combed (oops). But I love these photos!

In this first one, we caught a train zooming by.



Just a fun cute one in front of this old town building in our "towns" downtown area.

eyefull: First Birthdays!

Two Birthday girls this past weekend. Cute as a button little nuggets. Each with their own unique personalities both a lot of fun to work with. Their families, equally as beautiful as they were. Loved every minute of it.







Meet Ms. One year old! What a small world, because many of her family and extended family members I already knew from different events around our town.




My second one year old of the day. I actually got to photography Skylar as a newborn and now she is one! Amazing how time flies.
